## Haeundae's seafood scene — what's worth ordering Seafood around Haeundae falls into two categories: raw fish shops (회) near Haeundae Market, and the more casual restaurants serving haemul pajeon (seafood pancake), gyeranjjim (steamed egg), and grilled shellfish along the beach road. The raw fish experience is more expensive and suited to dinner; the pancake and grilled shellfish spots work better for a late lunch between beach time. ## Where to eat — market vs. restaurant vs. beach stall Haeundae Traditional Market (해운대전통시장), a short walk from the beach, has the best raw fish at market prices — pick from a tank, pay by weight, and eat at a table inside. Restaurants on Haeundaehaebyeon-ro (the main beach road) are pricier but have ocean views and full table service. Beach-side vendors sell grilled corn and odeng (fish cake skewers) for walking. ## Timing and practical notes Haeundae's seafood restaurants are busiest in July–August (peak beach season) and around the Busan International Film Festival in October.
